Tarik Sansal

Founder & CEO

Romio was founded by Tarik Sansal, who saw the need to bring local connectivity to online services after launching and selling his second startup, OnTargetJobs.com, which generated $160 million in revenue. Sansal had previously launched InvestorPosition.com, a digital destination focused on careers in investment management and banking. Sansal has the distinction of being the very first hire by investor John Moon for his emerging markets hedge fund Moon Capital, which later became an investment arm of Oak Tree Capital. Sansal previously held positions with Yamaichi Bank, where he worked on its Asian Institutional Equities sales desk, and got his start as a Wall Street research analyst with Sharpe Capital. He is a graduate of the University of Westminster in London.

Chris Aiello

Chief Financial Officer

Chris manages all day-to-day accounting responsibilities including finance, payroll and all employee documents. Prior to joining Romio, he was an entrepreneur and partner in a financial firm focused on real estate investing. He graduated from the University of Delaware with an Accounting degree and subsequently received his MBA from Monmouth College in Illinois.

Botond Denes

Head of Technology

Botond Denes is the Head of Technology and partner for Romio, managing and leading the augmentation and technology development teams for the brand. He has been working with Information Technology for fifteen years and was part of the founding technology team for Romio across data integration, front-end and back-end architecture. He is key in translating and implementing the needs and vision of the Senior Executive Team and the Product Division. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Master’s degree in Component-based Programs and has worked with large technology clients in Silicon Valley and around the world.

Matt Zarzecki

Head of Product

Matt Zarzecki leads the execution, definition and extrapolation of the vision of Romio, combining the aspects of feasibility, functionality and usability. He acts as head of design and is keenly focused on the user experience. Originally a graphic designer by trade, he has a high technical acumen and is considered a problem solver who likes to keep it simple. Prior to Romio, he worked on the Product Design side for both small businesses and the well-known TED conferences. He also pioneered local-search for commercial services at AOL and subsequently joined Buddy Media as VP of Product, which later was sold to SalesForce.com. Matt has worked in multiple startups, growing teams that shape immediate, on-demand services targeting consumers. He is originally from Princeton, NJ and has a Computer Science and English degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts. He is active in his community and has served as a volunteer team leader for Habitat for Humanity.
